Convenience Store Shooting

Nashville Tennessee, at a late hour in the afternoon customers are seen in the surveillance video as they walk about the store as usual. The store had two clerks at the time and three customers. Suddenly two robbers in ski masks invade a convenience store armed with a revolver and shot gun. As soon as they come in the store they meet two of the customers who managed to escape the store and evade the whole incident. On the other hand, a customer is making a purchase at the counter. He surveys the store normally as the cashier calculates his change.

The customer abruptly hears loud noises coming from near the main entrance of the store. He turns his head towards the noise to see what was going on and suddenly he freezes in fear. He saw the two gunmen approaching him with their guns at the ready. He later explains that there was no place to run, the store had no back door or emergency exit, and he knew they were in deep trouble and could not do anything except to follow the orders of these savage bandits. The culprits told everyone to lay flat on the floor with their faces facing the ground. As he laid face down on the floor like they asked him to do, the customer thought that things will turn out ok as long as he did not see them or look at them.

He heard them repeatedly order the cashier to take out the money out of the drawer and give it to them. The cashier behind counter said that he did not speak English. The gunmen’s brutality unleashes. One of them instantly fired his weapon at point blank range at the clerk’s head, he instantly went down. The thieves rush to the cash register but can not get it to open. This further enrages them and makes them loose all of their patience and logic. They just started shooting; they wanted everyone dead in that store. The first perpetrator goes after another clerk on the floor while the second targets the customer. They shot the customer in his lower back and it hit his kidney and colon. The next shot was aimed at the customer’s head but the shooter runs out of bullets. As soon as the customer heard the gun click, signifying that it was out of bullets, he gathered his last bits of energy and reached in his top pocket and pulled out his phone to call 911.

The murderous thugs finally flee without stealing a dime. But cops find a telltale fingerprint at the scene; they trace it back to a black young male who is now under arrest for the murder of the two clerks. Incredibly his accomplice who shot the customer was a teenage girl. The customer enters weeks of surgery but he makes a full recovery from his night of terror. He later told news reports that he does feel lucky and very fortunate to still be here in this world.
