It is closing time at a Domino’s pizza shop with more than three employees wrapping up after another successful business day. Then suddenly, an armed robber burst in the door. He was wearing black clothing with a hood over his head. He quickly and aggressively ordered them to give him the money. The owner is at the front of the store when it happens. He suddenly ordered the manager of the store to give him all the money that they had. The store owner could not believe that this was happening to him at this late hour of the night. When he saw that the employees were slow to respond to his demands the crook tired to open the register himself but can not do so.
The store’s owner came back to the back of the store to see what was going on. He grabbed a folding chair as a weapon and for self defense. The desperate thug moved into the kitchen where he put his gun to the head of the pizza cook. He and open up the register for him. He ordered him to get out from the kitchen, open up the cash register, and give him the money or he will shoot him, he even swore on his mother’s life to do so if he sensed any attempts to deceive him. But the cook made a bold move. He grabbed the gun and grabbed the robber and rammed him against the wall. This shook up the bandit and caused him to loose his balance and fall.
As the two men grabbled over the weapon the store owner saw his chance, he grabbed a knife. He could not see the gun and could not tell if it was going to go off or not at any moment. So he started hitting the bandit, chopping him and cutting him with the butcher knife. The shocked bandit turned from trying to retrieve his gun to dodging the owner’s knife blows. Finally he cried for mercy. The store owner dragged him kicking and screaming away from the cooking area. He instructed his employees to call the cops and look for the thief’s gun; he wanted to use the gun to keep he robber in check until the police arrives. They eventually found the gun and it turned out to be a fake one. So the owner held him until the police eventually came and arrested him.
This is a typical incident in terms of timing. The thieves usually wait until a shop or any small business has collected a good amount of money from a day’s worth of business transactions and financial dealings which guarantees that they will find large amounts money when they eventually attack the store a few minutes right before it closes. Further more the security cameras have helped to convict the thief when it came time for legal prosecution. Although a risky maneuver, the employees of this store were successful in attacking and overpowering this ruthless thug.
