RMA Etiquette: 5 Tips to help facilitate a more speedy and satisfying return experience
We'd like to start by saying THANK YOU! Thank you to ALL of you who have chosen and continue to choose 2MCCTV for your CCTV needs. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve you and will continue to work hard to meet all of your CCTV needs, big and small.
While we are proud to announce that our rate of return is quite small, returns are a natural part of the ebb and flow of our provider/client relationship. We'd like to take this opportunity to offer tips to YOU, our highly valued customers, on how to help facilitate a faster and more satisfying return experience. Our goal here at 2MCCTV is to make the return process as smooth, expedient and satisfying as possible for our valued customers. As in any healthy relationship, we need your cooperation in order to continue to improve the return process and achieve optimal RMA efficiency.
Tip 1. Take some time to acquaint yourself with 2MCCTV's return policy. We understand that while making a purchase, returning your item/s isn't generally at the forefront of your mind. However, familiarity with our return policy can help you make better purchasing and return decisions. The shipping & returns policy link is located on the far right side of the 2MCCTV website, listed under the “Video Surveillance Information heading.
Tip 2. Adhere to the instructions/policies in the return policy when preparing your items to be returned. There are a few key points to keep in mind when you decide to return an item. Most importantly, a return merchandise authorization or RMA number MUST be obtained in order to return any object, however large or small. Any unauthorized returns will be rejected. Equipment must be returned within ten business days of the RMA issue date. If your return is not received within ten days of the RMA issue date, it will be rejected. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the shipping label of your package or on the secondary packaging of your return. If your RMA is not readily identifiable, it will be rejected.
Tip 3. Troubleshoot. For products you want to return for repair, be sure to troubleshoot thoroughly. We often receive products that were classified as defective or broken, only to discover that they are in perfect working order. This is ultimately a waste of time and an inconvenience for you. Any questions or concerns you may have regarding troubleshooting can be answered by 2MCCTVs technical support department.
Tip 4. Merchandise Integrity. In order to return merchandise for a refund, the items must be returned in the same condition they were received. Credit may be denied in the event that a product is returned damaged, missing parts or packing materials. All manuals, hardware, software and other accessories must be returned with the product. Markings, shipping labels or tape are not to be placed directly on a product’s primary packaging.
Tip 5. 2M CCTV recommends shipping insurance on all products purchased, as 2M CCTV is not responsible for products damaged or lost during shipping and will not be held liable for such.
With these five tips, you can help us here at 2M CCTV make the return process as smooth as possible. We would also like to remind you that the return process takes an average of two to three weeks. However, the process can take longer based on the particular product and other circumstances such as product availability and manufacturer cooperation. As we are proud to serve your CCTV needs, we will do everything within reason to alleviate any inconvenience experienced on your part in the case of such circumstances. Thank you again for choosing 2M CCTV.
