Topeka Police Detectives are asking for your help in identifying a suspect trying to use a stolen credit card.

On December 30, 2008 at about 7:20 pm, a victim reported that her purse had been stolen from the VA Hospital at 2200 SW Gage.

The victim told police that someone had already attempted to use one of her credit cards at Wal-Mart of Wanamaker but it was declined. Detectives investigating the case found that the victim’s credit card was used at East Side Liquor and at Wal-Mart on this same day.

Detectives obtained surveillance video from both businesses and obtained photos of a suspect that used the victim’s credit card.
