Cat 5 Cable
CAT 5 cable, also known as unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable, is a standard installation in virtually all buildings. It is used in computer, networking, and surveillance applications to connect various components to each other. It can be used, with baluns, in place of coaxial cable to connect the components of CCTV systems. CAT5 cable is preferred over traditional coaxial cable because it is widely available and it weighs less, which makes it easier to pull, maintain, and replace.
