The AirPremier N access point provides network administrators secure and manageable dual band wireless LAN options with design specific for business class environment.
Versatile Access Point
The DAP-2360 deploys a highly manageable and extremely robust dual band wireless network. D-Link Dual Band Access Point with three detachable antennas provides optimal wireless coverage in either 2.4GHz (802.11g and draft 2.0 802.11n) or 5GHz (802.11a and draft 2.0 802.11n) bands. Also, this PoE access point integrates 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) support allowing for installation in areas where power outlets are not readily available.
Enhanced Performance
With maximum wireless signal rates up to 300Mbps in the 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless band, the AirPremier N dual band access point delivers reliable performances. Combined with support for WiFi Multimedia (WMM) Quality of Service, this access point makes an ideal device for audio, video, and voice applications. The supported load balancing features ensures optimal performance by placing a maximum to the number of user per Access Point.
Security
This access point utilizes the latest wireless security technologies with support for both Personal and Enterprise version of WPA and WPA2 (802.11i) with additional support for RADIUS server backend. Additional security features such as MAC Address Filtering, Wireless LAN segmentation, Disable SSID Broadcast, Rogue AP Detection, Wireless Broadcast Scheduling help to protect the wireless network.
Multiple Operation Modes
D-Link’s dual band access point offers multiple operation modes to optimize network performance. Operational modes available include Access Point, Wireless Distribution System (WDS) with Access Point, WDS/Bridge (No AP Broadcasting), and Wireless Client. With WDS support, the network administrator can setup and configure multiple access points that bridge with one another throughout a facility.
Network Management
For network management, the administrators can manage the AirPremier access point using multiple options such as Web (HTTP), Secure Sockets Later (SSL, for secure connection to the internet), Secure Shell (SSH, for secure channels between local and remote computers), and Telnet (bi-directional, eight-bit byte oriented communications facility). The advanced users can use the D-Link AP Manager II or D-View management module to configure and manage multiple access points.
