This is the second complete system I've purchased from 2MCCTV. My first purchase was smooth with the exception of one of the Surveilux SVV-38IR24 cameras arrived DOA. They would not ship out a replacement until the dead one was received and inspected by them...Other than that, It was a great purchase experience and a great system. That was an Avermedia based CPA8D system. The folks at 2MCCTV were very accomodating when it came to allowing me to delete the cable (I had plenty left over from my previous install) and the system shipped out promptly, except for the Vista Business upgrade (replaced with XP pro with no explanation) and cameras (Veilux SVD-54L49) that were backordered...Subsequently, I was reading about the features of these cameras on their website to help with the installation (which was complete except for installing the backordered cameras) and I discovered that they had been "discontinued". When I called to check status on them I was told they were shipping...I asked about the "discontinued" status listed on their website and they weren't fully aware of it. Anyway, they substituted the 8 cameras with another model (Veilux SVD-58DNL2812) the same day I called. I've never seen the original cameras I was supposed to receive, but I can say that I don't like the Veilux SVD-58DNL2812 as much as the Surveilux SVV-38IR24 cameras I received with the first system I purchased...These are all plastic and have a snap-on type dome as opposed to the Surveilux SVV-38IR24 that has an aluminum housing that is screwed together and just feels less delicate. I'm also experiencing some issues getting a clear image on some of the cameras. One of the cameras had a slightly bent gimble mechanism and a bent (and disconnected) plug on the PC board, but it was a simple repair. Overall, I was more satisfied with the first purchase than this one...I'm trying to get accustomed to the different features of the Geovision interface, so that likely is influencing my opinion somewhat.

I bought this for a small bussiness of mine and I think it is the best purchase I have ever made. It was awesome that the set up was so easy. I had talked to installers that wanted 80-90 an hour and were going to take days. I did it in three hours.

I didn't actually like this system at first. I was going to send it back but the tech walked me through it. Once you get to know the program it is truly amazing. take your time and read the manual. And don't feel stupid when you don't understand some thing. This thing covers so many areas no one but the people at geovision are the experts.

This geovision capture board/computer combo is an amazing deal. I added up the math of what it would cost for a dell computer, geovision card, cameras, cable, and connectors and the difference was phenominal.

I bought this two months ago, but went with a central power supply, it didn't take that much doing to learn what was right and what was wrong. It was like installing a vcr and setting up the time. Well, it was like setting up a large vcr with little dangely bits that ran all over the office. But I am not going to get into analogy. It is good and it works wonders. Thank you.
