GeoVision GV-1240A-8 Eight Channel Camera DVR Capture Combo Card
The GV-1240A-8 is an 8 channel digital video capture card allowing it to connect up with 8 colored or B/W cameras for 240 frames per second recording rate. As part of the GeoVision's GV-Series line of capture cards, the GV-1240A-8 is a PC based multi-channel video surveillance system that utilizes the most advance digital video compression technologies to bring you the highest picture quality and video performance. The GV-Series product range starts from our entry level GV-600 to the flagship GV-4000. Up to 16 cameras can be connected and view live on a local monitor screen or thru TCP/IP network. Video can be recorded based on specifiable schedules or motion detection. You can store video clips in HDD or any optical storage device by using GeoVision Backup System.
Easy to Install & Operate. All packages include DVR CARD, USER'S MANUAL, LOCAL and REMOTE SOFTWARE. The PCI based Digital Video Recorder (DVR) Card records live video data to your hard drive or network drive for archival purposes. These cards can install in your present PC if it meets certain qualifications. The software includes the ability to view from a single stand alone pc, a network, and also through the Internet. You can even burn the DVR video evidence on a CD or Email it to the authorities. As long as you have Windows XP, Vista, 7, or Server 2008, you can replay the remote video without the need of "proprietary" software! Also, no multiple user licenses needed when using our DVR cards! Feel free to share the remote access application amongst those that need access to the visual data. Access the video while on the road from your laptop or PDA! We make it just that easy! To calculate frame rate per camera simply divide total FPS by quantity of cameras. If you currently have a small hard drive, the software will also allow you to adjust the frame rate for each camera individually. For example when using 7 cameras with the GV-800-08 DVR card, you would divide 120 by 7 so each camera is operating at about 17 FPS.
