Low Light Performance
KPC-650CHQ utilizes a 1/3 inch CCD image sensor for super low light performance and higher light sensitivity. The 1/3 inch Sony Exview HAD CCD sensor works with a minimum scene illumination of .05 lux, equivalent to that of between a full moon and a quarter moon. The light reflects into the surface of the sensor, collecting the light and turning it into electrons.
High Resolution
The KPC-650CHQ produces a high TVL resolution of 550. With this high resolution, there are far more pixels in the CCD chip, resulting in a better picture quality. The Exview achieves 550 TVL resolution needing only a minimum illumination of 0.05 lux.
Auto White Balance
The automatic white balancing feature will detect the correct light level and project the appropriate amount of white in a captured scene. True whites and blacks will be as light and dark as they would be as if viewing the image in person. This is done in the camera’s digital signal processor prior to being sent to the DVR.
Auto Gain Control
The KPC-650CHQ camera will artificially boost image clarity in lower lit situations to preserve the quality of the scene. This automatic gain control feature will not be necessary in standard lighting, but can come in handy in a situation where the light will vary, making the appropriate compensations.
