The unit records in real time with selectable image resolution from standard to very finely detailed. Durations up to a two weeks recording is possible with this 120 gig hard disk storage. Total recording duration is divided among the amount of input devices.
DVR Features:
- PAL and NTSC Standards Supported
The DSRM804H120 has a simple switch on the back panel to select NTSC and PAL standards. And because the unit records fully in real-time, it will capture a 30 frames/second in NTSC and 25 fps in PAL. - 4 Separate Recordings Simultaneously
The DSR-M804 series of DVRs will accept 4 separate video (with audio) inputs from 4 cameras or other source equipment. The recording duration is a composite of the hard-drive capacity divided by the number of input devices. Audio by itself contributes to data for storage. Storage capacity reflects video input only. - 3 Picture Quality Settings
Depending on the amount of detail required and the amount of time the hard disk needs to contain the DSR-M804 has 3 selectable recording qualities. Standard mode with quality approximately that of VHS-EP mode. High quality, the middle choice is about that of VHS SP mode. Super, the highest quality is the same as SVHS quality, about 400 lines for crisp detail even in dark areas. But even at the highest quality this 120 gig hard disk will record for a remarkable 84 hours. Maximum record time in Standard (low) resolution will give an amazing 2 continuous weeks recording. - Composite Video Inputs and Outputs
For compatibility with existing matrix switchers, the DVR has industrial 4 BNC connectors for input and output from cameras to monitors. A monitor output allows for multiplex monitoring of 4 images on single screen or scrolling images one after another. - Ethernet Connection for LAN Monitoring
The RJ45 connection on the back panel of this space efficient DVR allows for monitoring and control over networks. - Alarm Recording
As with most security recorders the DSR-M804 models can be triggered to start recording when a camera or motion detector senses a change in light or other environment differentiations. The DVR can output an alarm signal to trigger other units also. The recorder will generate a list of alarm recording for easy reviewing. - RS-485 Sanyo Control Protocol
In addition to software-based control, the DSR-M800 DVRs can be controlled by Sanyo dedicated controllers using RS-485 which is base on RS-232C. The Sanyo system can control over 200 units simultaneously.
