These power supplies take electricity from a wall outlet and convert it to low-voltage for the security cameras. At 24 volts, the power supply carries power to security cameras that have more moving parts such as PTZ cameras. Cameras that have a multitude of advanced features will also benefit from the increased voltage from 24 VAC power supplies.
