The 2M Technology 2MT-4004 4 Channel Digital Video Recorder can stream up to 4K resolution cameras. Additionally, the system allows for real time monitoring of video and audio. The DVR runs off of a DV12V power supply and uses a max of 7w. Further, the digital video recorder has an operating temperature range of 0°C- +55°C. The DVR also has face detection and intrusion detection features.

Works great with analog cameras. I specifically searched for a DVR that will be compatible with our cameras. Our dvr stopped working after over a year. I would say videos are much clearer with this 2M dvr. Hope this will last longer than the Lorex unit. 5 stars for now.

This dvr replaces a 4 year old unit. This unit was up and recording super fast. Also was able to set up remote viewing on all my devices using the IR code. No router setting nightmares required like my last dvr. Its one shortcoming are the instructions. They seem to cover differnt model dvrs all in one book, but the software overall wasnt difficult to figure out.

Ok, so I have bought many different brands and I’ve got to say this is one the best. All the remote viewing options work and are very easy to setup. I install and maintain a plethora of CCTV systems for clients and this one has all the bells and whistles. It has all kinds of configuration options. Although I did contact support and was told I can only use their branded cameras and only one type of camera would work. This is not true, just make sure you use the right type of cameras. I’m using 1080p cameras all different brands, it’s always safe to make sure the camera is analog CVI,AHD,CVBS.

I had a bad experience with a different brand of DVR/camera system so I decided to try this one. It is a much better system than my old one, and I like it, but I’m not sure I love it. It works great but I am having an issue with the motion recording technology. It may be great and work perfectly, but I am the kind of user who likes to have a manual in hand for reference and not have to rely on chat/youtube videos/phone support. When live support is available I am usually working so that doesn’t help, and the motion recording setup that I have found seems to be tedious instead of streamlined. I really wish that it came with a detailed online link/paper manual, but mine didn’t.

Picture quality is good during lighted hours. You will need auxiliary lighting for night hours. The user interface for set up is a little different than the documentation, but was able to figure it. I would not call it intuitive, but it works.

Had a few camera’s with poor quality night vision a replaced them with these units. They last about 3 years max so quick swap gets the system back to 100% with a quick swap out.

I needed to purchase a new DVR to replace my old one, but wanted to use my old cameras. I wrote to 2M customer service. Within one day, Dean anserwed me with a link to this DVR. I ordered and received within 2 days. Within 3 days I had my system up and running. The DVR was relatively easy to program with basic computer skills. This model is smaller and quieter than the old DVR. I am very please with my 2M System, this DVR, and 2M Cutomer Service.
