Best deal that I could find on 2M, or anywhere else for that matter. installed easy, except for having to run the cables, and worked totally as advertised. Had one bad camera during install, 2M sent out an entirely new kit the next day. I used what I needed and sent back the leftovers to 2M, they paid return. Great system and the Best Customer Service. Totally happy with it and would recommend to anyone.

Ordered this last month and finally got around to installing it because of the rain works wonderfully, easy to install was even able to get a small discount on my insurance for the house. Ordered another system today to use for business proposes. I highly recommend this system for anyone the only thing it didn’t come with was an hdmi cable if you were wanting to have it to the TV. But great deal for the price picture quality day/night is both amazing range is good. In my opion works as good as a 800 dollar system. Comes with four cameras but does have hook up space for 8 as is. Takes longer to open that package than it does it get the cameras running after that just move the wires to the desired position.

Great system with a excellent picture web setup has still got me trying to get through my router but i am sure i will get it. Comes with decent amount of wire for the cameras i bought extra long ones too. Nice cameras, excellent night vision. Very clear! Drv works awesome. Replaced crappy mouse with a usb rollerball mouse and got a vga monitor @ the second hand store for a few dollars. Installation into a secure dvr box with fan bolted to the floor. I love how one power plug runs 4 cameras from inside. Great design and setup was a breeze. No fuzzy pictures so clear you will be amazed. License plates crystal clear. Well worth the small price. Set the dvr on 7 day loop record over. Playback is a snap you can export to a flash stick for hand off to police if needed. If your on the fence about a system, get off it and secure your property with this…

Ok, let me start by saying…I love this system…I am a real person (lol) real 2M shopper, I am not being paid to post this. This system is SUPER easy to set up, however to run the wires inside the house to hook up to the DVR may require a lil experience. It took the guys I paid to do it about 2 hours to wire and mount 6 cams. The picture is amazing, it looks like a movie…At night, the night vision is sooo clear..

I ordered this worrying that the quality was going to be very low but it wasn’t, then again I am always paranoid, anyhow it took me a while to wire it all in but turned out perfect I put 3 camera up and couldn’t find a good spot for the fourth one yet the app is a little tough to wrap your head around but has worked for me so far.

These cameras are legit. As legit as you can get. If you have any kind of technical experience with computers and hard drives, you can save some serious money by getting the items separately. As far as the quality, the images that these cameras produce are easily top of the line. Solid night vision IR throw as well. Have and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a system.

The system itself is very easy to install and setup. Picture quality is extremely clear and of good quality. . I would recommend this affordable, easy to install and set up security camera system. It is a good system for someone in need of a descent security system at an affordable price. Just remember it does not come with HDD, so be sure to purchase one for the system.

After giving it a month and a half of usage to iron out the issues and form a complete opinion, I’m giving it five stars based on being a very good value for the price. I’ve currently got six cameras hooked up to it, and had an IP camera hooked in for a while. Everything works as expected, albeit with a lot of trial-and-error effort to get things set up – configuration is definitely not straightforward (this may be beyond the reach of a novice), Overall, the features are decent – it supports a few more advanced options like line crossing detection, but the base software seems like it must be generic across all products (and may not even be theirs), so not everything that exists in the software is actually a functional option. Note that you can’t use motion detection on the IP cameras – recording is all or nothing for those. Also note that this operates at 12fps for any 720p cameras, so it’s a bit choppy – but it’s good enough for a basic security system.

Dvr locked me out and cannot get inn to review the recordings and until does not have any perimeters to set back to default.

Good so far.. no complaints.

I never installed any kind of home security system so I was thinking about getting someone to install this system. Hooking the cameras up and connecting online was very easy. The hardest thing for me was running the wires through our hot southern attic. Set up was very easy and the app works perfect.

These ended up aiding the police in an investigation of an incident that occurred in my neighborhood, the police were able to use the video this product recorded and complimented that is was a clear image. Thanks!

I previously tried out a couple other camera systems and I had issues with the wireless cameras keeping connectivity. I switched to this system . Setting up the cameras is super easy as I just connected each one to the DVR with the wire and used the included screws to mount them. The DVR is the only thing plugged in as that powers all the cameras. It has a hard drive built in. I downloaded the app so I am able to view the cameras remotely. The motion detection is great for catching criminals in the act or if you want to know when the mailman is here. It doesn’t come with a monitor so if you want a screen for viewing locally you need to buy it separately. So far no complaints.

I bought this camera for my restaurant.i want to install inside and outside of restaurant.so I got 8 cameras.i think its enough for me.this camera systems is very easy to install.after install cameras are working well and the picture is excellent.more then I expected.its really valuable .better than the one I purchased before.i got 6 cameras installed inside restaurant and two outside parking lot .all of cameras working well.

Cameras work flawless! Get a good face at night but the daytime picture i can read a license plate driving away without issue i am super happy with the set up and operation of the DVR.Took me less than 2 hours to setup the cameras and start viewing. The system has different recording options that are easy to configure, as well as notifications for different alarm settings that you can set for each camera. Love the system, would recommend it to family and friends!

When I received this wireless camera system and began unboxing, my initial impression was good. This product is living up to my expectations as the picture quality is good. The cameras will take pictures at night as well. Works great just like description states. This security system at an exceptional value, all without being in fear of losing info because all data stored on Hard drive.

Nothing but great things to say about this system. I had a system from a competitor and the functionality was sub par, this one is AWESOME! The DVR itself is very easy to set up, I had it up and running in no time. The DVR menus are easy to navigate and understand. The Android App is fantastic! One of my favorite features is the ability to change the settings from your internet connected computer as opposed to using the mouse on the DVR itself, made things smooth. I did have to manually change the DNS settings on the unit itself to correlate to my Xfinity internet, but it wasn’t hard to figure out. The instructions are there, just have to decipher a few phrases. Last piece of advice, use a piece of aluminum bar to install your cameras onto (see photo), saved hours of drilling holes into the soffits and trying to adjust the angles. Plus, super easy to remove or readjust! I didnt really assess the motion detection, because I dont have a need for it at this time.

I just received these today and everything is excellent quality. The video is very clear and installation process was simple. we were away we could easily look at our phones and see live picture and record directly from the app as long as the app was open. After I received an HDD and got it installed, everything is perfect. All in all great value and will recommend.

Honestly I just cameras to have proof if my neighbor be throwing random **** in our yard. But really surprised how good quality pictures this are and the viewing angle is. I installed this system myself, everything was included and it wasn’t too hard. Some more detailed camera installation instructions would have been nice. For the most part, it was easy to install and has a good picture. Really easy to operate too. The app doesn’t work all the time, but it might be our slow home internet. Overall, a good system for a good price.

I had trouble setting up to view on my phone. I am not the best with computers. I received emails from VS Direct telling me what to do. Works perfectly now. I really appreciate the help I got from them.

System is very straight forward to set up and install. Ours has been in operation for going on four months. We did have one issue with a camera not switching to night mode but we have a replacement on the way. Customer service is top notch so this issue really wasnt and issue! Would recommend without a doubt!

I use it at home for outdoor security. It was fairly easy to set up. I did have to purchase HDMI and Ethernet cords as well as the additional hard drive for the recording and memory.

My honest review of the device is this. For the price you cant beat it. Now the motion detection on the other hand is a pain in the ass to figure out. Luckily I had some free time to read manual thoroughly. . I just wish it had a more swivel for mounting different angles. Edit:9/15

I bought this security sys because is I did not have to run any wires at all, only electrical power to the cameras and I did with an extension cord and a mini power strip for each set two cameras and bought these items at the local hardware store. and I plug them on ceiling outlet in the garage.

I just recently purchased your 4 camera set through 2M. I received the product in a timely manner and it was everything the reviews said it would be. When I received the unit, I pulled it from the box and began setup. This part was really easy. Simply plug and play. Once I had the main box online, then it was time to setup the camera. Again, this was very simple and the link to the main box was virtually instantanuaous. Once I downloaded the app, I was completely online. Working perfectly and well worth the money. I would and have already recommended this product to others. Keep up the great work.

I purchased this system to replace a competitive brand also sold by 2M. The quality and performance of this system is head and shoulders above the competition. Setup was truly plug and play, and the picture quality is excellent. But the best feature of this product is that a manual is included that is written in good English. And they have a support department that actually responds in a timely manner. I have not yet needed any support, but I did test that capability before committing to a purchase. Based on my experience I can wholeheartedly recommend this system.

Basic setup for the cameras, Hdd and video recorder was easy but I’m still trying to get the email alerts from the motion sensors. The quick guide has no info on how to set this up. I was originally going to go with ADT until I came across these cameras, at first I didnt know if they would work good or for what I needed them to but having them up and working now Im glad I went with these instead of ADT! Night vision is great, they are easy to set up and have a wide lense range. I would recommend this product and will definitely be ordering more cameras from 2M.

I have been wanted a security camera for a while but there were too many to pick from. I saw this and thought maybe I will give it a try. It was nicely sealed and package. The instructions were easy to read and simple to install. I set it up right away because I wanted to see how good it was. I put it outside in certain areas of my home than I thought would need it. I was surprise how clear the picture was. It really shows all the movements quite clear. I waited until dark to test the night vision. It was clear and visible. I was impressed with these cameras. I can use it indoor or outdoor since it is weatherproof, and the HD CCTV cameras give a crystal clear image, build-in with IR cut filter ensures true color on day and night, the cameras will switch to night vision mode automatically in darkness, with a night vision. This security system is recordable system, it support 24/7 continuous recording, DVR can be set to automatically overwrite the previous footage once the HDD is full, I can backup and transfer the footage to USB flash drive or external hard drive. It comes with 8 channels DVR with 4 cameras, I may be able to add more 4pcs 720P or 1080P cameras in the future, and it provides me the flexibility to extend additional cameras. The motion detection function will let me know what happened once camera detect a movement, I can also customize the detect area and set the sensitivity to minimize false alarm. The cameras are all made out of a combination of metal and thick plastic. I believe the metal is an aluminum alloy too, so you don’t have to worry about rust. This is a good low budget security camera system. It didnt take long to install (run wires & power) everything was included for a sturdy install. The software takes some getting used to, but not hard to get started. The included app is free and a great way to view while away from home. Cameras have HD mode which gives a clearer picture. The included 1tb hard drive saves video from 8 cameras for a week straight before it starts rewriting. The camera automatically switch to night vision mode which allows the camera to record even in total darkness. I decided to get these over the WiFi cameras that tend to become disconnected with the router without notice. I have not needed to deal with customer support however, they have reached out a few times to make sure I was satisfied with their product. Overall I am very satisfied with this camera system and would recommend it to a do it yourselfer.

I can’t imagine an easier security system to set up.
–Each camera: you literally plug into an outlet (chord is about 10 feet) and screw into a wall. Done.
–The video recorder recorder: plug into an outlet, then plug into your modem. Done.
–Connect the video recorder to your TV/laptop/etc. Done, picture comes right up, with all cameras pre-paired with the video recorder.
The picture quality, which says 1080p, in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is.
I wanted to spring a little bit for a higher quality security system, while without breaking the bank; this is the one I narrowed my search down to and I HIGHLY recommend! I had downloaded the wrong app on my phone to view remotely, so I did have to reach out to customer service once, but they responded literally within an hour (and this was at about 7 p.m. MST), so the service is also excellent!

I have not yet installed the cameras but I did set one up and use it and it was looking really good it did everything I needed the one thing I kind of didnt like was the Night vision was a bit cloudy and that caused the picture quality to drop but still great cameras for the price

Installing the system was easy. Ensure you read the instruction to ensure the antenna’s are angled to where it gives you best picture and signal with the video recorder. Camera’s are solid and made to last. was an important factor in purchasing this system and the app made it that much easier and gave me an ease of mind to be able to check on my property when away.

Price was a good value. I have had installed for a few months now. I have one camera that is not working but all the others are. I have not called tech support as of yet to see what can be done. Install was simple. picture quality is good. night vision is good. Actually caught my neighbor “picking” vegetables out of my garden at night! Yes I could tell who it was at around 30′ away.

Only negative (slight) is I would prefer knurled knobs to tighten the adjustments on the cameras instead of the allen screws that are installed. The wifi range of the cameras is adequate for my application. I did not need to test the camera cascade feature. Good basic system for home/shop security monitoring.

Great picture, easy install, easy to add more cameras and you can monitor from phone away from home WITH THE SYSTEM CONNECTED TO YOUR INTERNET. However, it will not notify you for anything if you have it recording 24/7. Easy to add a additional hard drive and easy to install, range is impressive and night vision is wildly awesome. I can see all the way to the house on the end of the street clearly at night, I would definitely recommend this system for your home. The only thing that sucks is the super short ethernet cable that it comes with.

Installed the system today and it was very easy. The hardest part was drilling the holes for the camera power supply cables. You just plug in the unit then plug in the cameras and they link up almost instantly. Great picture quality.

Everything went well with the installation of the cameras and is working well. I have to say that having security in ones home is priceless.

The product arrived per scheduled. The video recorder and cameras are very well packed. The installation is very much easy using the copy of quick guide printed in colored. I am not an electronic guy but I do not have hard time to intall the unit and run the system smoothly. Got my 2M 4-camera surveillance system through 2M last week, cyber Monday. Got a great deal but what prompted me to purchase this product was the fact that it is . My setup is such that a product is a must. Also because I only need 4 cameras to completely protect the outside of my home this product provided that option. I am in the process of setting up the cameras and it looks to be pretty straight forward.. Finally, the price was exceptional for what you get compared to other systems.

This camera system was very easy to set up, especially the video recorder. The instructions were simple and easy to follow making the installation process easy. The quality of the images were also very good. Good night vision visibility and good wide angle view.

Everything i was looking for, s connection, local storage, online app
for live feed and playback.
Cameras are pretty well built and solid. The power adapters that came with them were just about 9 feet
so you will need to get 12V DC adapter extension cords if you plan to install a distance from an outlet.
The VR is pretty basic, easy to open to install your HDD. It could have been more compact since there
was a lot of wasted space, easily 50 % smaller.
Basic connections in the back, ethernet for your LAN, HDMI, USB for your mouse Connected a TV to the
VR using HDMI. Connect to LAN if you want to access online. Quick guide will get you up and running.

The cameras were paired to VR prior to shipping so once i plugged them to power they automatically
connected to the VR. How easy can plug and play be? The images were very clear. Night vision was OK.
This is the first security system i’ve had so they look very good to me, nothing to compare to really.
Anyway, once you’ve set eveything up you can now go into the system and play around with the settings,
motion detection, night vision, sensitivity, renaming individual cameras, alerts, etc. Some are pretty
straightforward while others are a little more for the more tech savvy. 2M tech support was
fast in responding, though i only had to call on them once, they did get back to me within 24 hours.
Recording works like it should though i had to, and still am, tweaking the sensitivity of the motion
detection. There’s a lot of settings you may need to play around with to get that sweet spot.

The app used to access system online works but could be better.

I’ve had this for a month now and overall i’m happy, it works out for what i need. I would recommend this
if you need a system to keep an eye on things, that doesn’t require a subscription and wouldn’t cost a lot.
I have a doorbell camera that costs almost as much as this whole system. This performs as well if not
better than that. Just the App needs improvement, and if 2Mcan find a better app to work with this
system, that would make it even better.

Love the ease of installing everything works great

We’re a small non-profit thrift store and needed to introduce indoor and outdoor video cameras for added security. The initial set up of these cameras are really easy plug & play. We found the quality of the footage really good as well. However, you have to have some IT experience to understand the software. Couldn’t get it to connect to the wifi network or get them to connect through the app right away. Needing to do more research.

I did research on several systems on 2M and other websites. I waited several weeks for this review so I could install fully to understand how the system and cameras worked. Im very satisfied with the quality, distance, and resolution of the camera video, both on monitor and phone. I did have to buy extra power cables as couple of the cameras required a longer power connection to my roof eaves. Once I figured everything out how the system works, all went very well. I need a additional hard drive, hoping this review qualifies for 2Ms free options. Would I buy another? Sure, great price, great quality, easy setup!

Installation wasn’t too bad. you will probably need extension cords for power. Once hooked up, the setup was very easy and had images on my phone within 5 minutes. I would like phone alerts when motion is detected.

We needed security cameras for our company to help with inventory. The cameras were easy to set up and the picture quality is better than we could have expected. Would buy additional cameras but we are maxed out with the original 4 and 4 additional.

I put this system up with a friend, hes computer literate, me no so much, he got it up and running in hardly no time, I put 3 at the house & 1 about 100ft from the house, the one away from the house goes in & out but the 3 around the house work great, great picture. I wish they would have a sticker or sign that says under video surveillance that would be nice.

This system is working very well for us. Good picture, easy to install. We did have to run ethernet cable to some of the cameras due to low wifi signal in the areas we wanted to use them. We were really glad that was an option. We look forward to expanding the system in the future and adding more cameras.

I really liked how easy this system was to install and set up. I was able to install it and view it on my phone and TV very quickly and painlessly. The night vision is great! It looks as though you have a light on the area youre looking at.

I have purchased 8 CH system in 2015 so far working as expected but got an issue with the DVR power supply. Contacted customer service & they were able to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

They may not be the best cameras (they are good) but the ppl who sell them are amazing. And fast responding and a pleasure to do business with

My husband and I purchased this camera set for our home. And it works amazing.
What I dont like is the fact that it wont allow you to hit record the area for 24hrs or so to get the full footage. And on the app it says you can pay for extra features but its a LIE you cant click to get anything started

I never had a security system before and thought it would be a hassle setting it up. To my surprise, it’s relatively straightforward. I first installed a HD, then connected power and a monitor. All 4 cameras have been paired already out of box and no to to configure anything, just plug in the power and all is set to go. This is for testing purpose only as I will need to find locations for them around the house. I changed admin password and created additional user accounts. For mobile monitoring, I installed the app and all cameras are online too. The things I haven’t figured out are the mic/speaker control and whether this is motion sensing alert yet. Maybe these functions are not available, but the app somehow included those settings. Overall, this seems to be a solid system.

I bought this system the other day and just installed it. After reading the instructions I was able to have it all up and running in 2 hours. Works good, night vision looks great, nice color during the day. There are videos on line to help if needed. The cameras have excellent wide coverage. I recommend buying this system.

I received this a couple days ago. Just installed them today. I’m so amazed how well the cameras are built in my opinion. The mounts on the other hand could be a little better. Harder to deal with than appears. I’m a average DIY person and these are my second set of cameras.

The video recorder is great. Easy to follow in my opinion.

Cameras were easy to install easy to connect

This system works very well from the start. Add the hard drive, connect the box to the router (cable provided), connect the mouse (provided), connect a monitor and it will discover the cameras automatically. Simple. The image quality is good with light or in the dark. I also downloaded their software on my computer and my phone but they do not have all the functionality. I miss better instructions to customize additional network options (for better security) and the option to connect a keyboard to the video recorder = 4 stars.

I like the easy installation. Picture quality is great! Dont like the setup process. Confused and unsure of how to set up motion detection and recording.

I ordered the 2M Security Camera System, Outdoor/ Indoor WiFi Surveillance Cameras with Night Vision, and a Hard Drive on February 1, 2020. I am very happy with this security camera system! The instructions were really easy to follow and I set up the cameras quickly even though I dont really know how to do this kind of stuff. It was easy to set up and the images are clear both in the daylight and at night. I am impressed that there was always an image and it didnt lose signal even though some of the cameras were far away from the video recorder. Waterproof is also a very important feature such since it uses for outside. The app that I downloaded was easy to use and remote access simultaneously on my smart device can make life easier. Overall, I am quite happy with this outdoor security camera!

Great quality and easy to set up! I love to keep an eye on my cat and home when at work and these security cameras provide that and more. Great price for them as well. I would recommend this to anyone

Very good for the price. Only complaint I have is I wish the neck was longer so you had more room to get to the screws on the mounting flange.

Very easy to install. The quality is great. The night vision is also great. Only suggestion would be having a longer power cord on each camera. Other than that we love it.

I have a little experience in installation and use of cameras, I have to say that it is an excellent equipment, easy to install.
I had already bought 2 previous equipment from other companies before and they did not fill my expectations, it did not look real 1080P.

I was getting this set of security cameras as a gift set for my friend who just recently purchased her house and is thinking of installing these cameras around her front yard. I picked this set due to its feature and that it is reasonably priced. I have asked my friend for some feedbacks and she informed me that everything runs great thus far from picture quality to motion detection and to night vision technology. Everything has been described.

Once you figure out the kinks and placements so your connection reads it really is a steal for the price. ! Super thankful for how great these are working out.

The camera quality is great and set up is simple. The software is easy to use as well
My only gripe is that one of the screws on the box was too tight and stripped when trying to unscrew it, which meant I had to maneuver under an attached cover to install the HDD. Other than that the product is great!

I just follow the instruction guides inside of the box to set up for 4 cameras systems working perfectly.
