I was looking at all the high dollar solutions from Netgear and Google but decided to take a chance with this system. I am blown away by how great it is. You can choose to keep the whole system offline Closed circuit so no one can hack into it. The camera have an SD slot and DC power option for if you can’t reach the controller unit you still can maintain recordings and pull the card for review. If you choose to go online it can alert you via smartphone for motion detection. Very easy to upgrade the hard drive. I read a review on 2M about someone having power supply issues so I made sure to test my unit before doing a full install and I haven’t had a single issue not even sure how the power supply could be an issue it is a standard AC/DC power brick like you would get with a laptop.
Its absolutely amazing, a few days ago I was able to use the night vision to watch cloud formations in the sky and I guarantee I could see a tornado forming if I needed to. I am very happy with this purchase.
