The 2M DVR arrived on time, the installation was easy, i was swapping out an old DVR, the 2M recognized my existing camera’s right away and was up and running in 20 minutes. Great product.

We have two of the 16 channel DVRs wit 16 cameras on each. So far, we love them. The play back is easy to find and use. We have 9 PTZ cameras out of the total 32 cameras and they all work fast and easy. We are using the motion function on some of the cameras and that saves us quite a bit of recording space. We purchased the units without hard drives. We added 2 terrabit drives to each DVR. We purchased both units at the same time from 2M. Their phone support has been very prompt and helpful. I would recommend them.

I had a customer who’s older DVR had failed. I was looking for something to work with a very old 15 camera system.
I ordered this and a 2 TB drive to install. The drive was easy to install and the setup was quick. I am still trying to configure the cameras and setup the app but this worked great and the price was worth every penny. I will definitely by this item again when another customer needs a DVR upgrade.

I have only had this product setup for a couple days now, but it is a night-and-day difference to the ZOSI H.264 4Channel Full D1 960H HDMI DVR that I purchased just over two years ago. I’ll compare the two below:
    1. The Zosi DVR shipped with a BLANK root password and an OPEN Telnet (you can’t get any more insecure than that); this device passed a simple nmap scan, revealing no such thing; that isn’t to say it’s un-hackable, just that a would-be hacker would at least have to TRY to hack it
    2. The Zosi DVR’s zone sensitivity was basically worthless; it either recorded everything, including shadows moving, or nothing at all (I had to completely turn off notifications because of this); this DVR is far more adjustable and accurate
    3. The Zosi DVR required IE w/ ActiveX plugin to operate the web GUI; this DVR does as well but also includes the very functional (and free!) 2M Surveillance Pro software (I would suggest trying this before any paid product); THIS MADE MY DAY 2M! Very useful software for free?? Talk about some serious value add there!
    4. The Zosi DVR, albeit a few years older, didn’t have near the feature set this one does; I have not even explored all I can do with it yet; but for instance, this DVR can offload to a FTP server (on my local LAN) which I could then configure to offload to the public cloud (encrypted in transit, obviously) for offsite storage of video
    5. The Zosi DVR’s app was junk; the 2M app is very functional and fast and easy to setup (a variety of choices); I like the fact it had decent Google Play ratings (unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Chrome plugin; I could not get it to work, not even in an older version of Chromium)
    6. Zosi didn’t have much in the way of support; 2M has life time technical support, and I put their tech support to the test today when I called them about the zoning config; I got right through to a tech guy (with an Indian accent, so outsources, which is fine as long as they are competent) who was very technically minded and knew his stuff; didn’t even need to do a remote session to see, he was that good

Bottom line? 5 stars on this company and this product. They make a stellar product, and I am so happy to just do a DVR swap for swap (i.e. 2M DVR and Zosi cameras, all analog) and not have to rerun wires or hang cameras!
