  • Can I view Avermedia from another PC on my LAN, or WAN?

There isnt a separate client software to install a viewer. You must connect with IE first using IP address of Avermedia server. Ports will need to be forwarded in router for Remote View outside the network.

Also if you stop recording for a certain amount of time, this feature activates auto recording

  • How to get more recording days without adding another hard drive on Geovision

The last thing is the username and password which is the same as the username and password of your system.

  • How to troubleshoot Geovision can’t connect to server or picture is black on mobile phone error

Sometimes after downloading your app and putting in all the right inputs, it still won’t connect because of one or more configuration problems. To check if the mobile feature is activated, go to the NETWORK icon and select WEB CAM SERVER and under web cam server setup, click on mobile tab and may sure audio box is checked. Next click on JPEG tab and check create JPEG/GIF box.

If you try the above steps and still couldn’t connect, it’s possible your port number have changed and to check that, go to the network menu again and select NETWORK PORT INFORMATION and under that, click on HTTP and make sure the port number is the same as the port number on your app. By default the HTTP port is 80.

  • How to troubleshoot can’t find keypro error

This error means the capture card and the software are not communicating. Three things may be wrong with the capture card

    A. It could be the drivers are not installed.
    B. It could be the capture card is not properly installed
    C. It could be the capture card is not installed at all.

To check if the drivers are installed, go to your computer’s device manager and you will see DVR-Device and under it you will see a Geovision Icon that you will right click and activate. If you don’t see DVR-Device under your computer’s device manager, it means either it’s not properly installed or not installed at all. To check the card, leave your PC on and open it to see if the capture card is installed and if it’s installed, make sure it’s sitting right in the port and look for a green light. When you properly install it and the green light wouldn’t come on, take off the card and put it in another port and if that still doesn’t work then it’s very likely that the capture card needs to be replaced but call Technical Support for further help
