Using advanced software technology, Network Video Recorders (NVRs) for transfer captured images from IP security cameras into a digital storage medium, such as a hard disk drive (HDD). The main difference between a digital video recorder (DVR) and an NVR is that NVRs utilize software to capture video, while DVRs must use a capture card to capture video. The setup for network video recorders requires placing it within a network that is connected to the cameras and other security devices, such as alarm sensors.
Network video recorders (NVR) are software based, making them versatile so expanding an existing security system is quick and easy. To expand a surveillance system with NVRs, you just need enough camera licenses for each new camera and then simply connect the new IP camera to the network.
If setting up and installing a security system with our security NVRs sounds like it’d be a complicated project to do on your own, give our trained technical support team a call at 1-877-926-2288

Geovision GV-GIS 1 Lane
The GV-GIS is a GIS (Geographic Information System) based central management system for GeoVision devices.
The vehicle tracking and remote location verification from the GV-GIS is made possible by the GPS receiver attached to GV-HD Video Encoder and GV-Compact DVR to constantly obtain the GPS data (vehicle coordinates and speed) from the satellite, and through mobile internet connection (e.g. UMTS, EV-DO, EDGE, GPRS, GSM, etc) to transmit the GPS data to the GV-GIS.
Besides real-time vehicle tracking, you can also monitor the location of cameras and the status of I/O devices from the DVR and NVR, without GPS functions for city surveillance.
