So far this DVR is working perfectly. The setup was very simple and quick and the mobile app works great. I am still having trouble with the PC link becauseI get two to three different weblinks within the instructions. Kinda confused.

Had a few issues connecting to Apple devices, but thanks to the great customer support from Sandee and Cathy I was able to get my system up and running. They helped me in every possible way and their response was very fast and accurate. The system is very easy to set up, however the Mobile app needs a lot of improvement. It takes a while to load. To me me, the app it is the most important thing. Other than that it’s a great system and it has good features.

Purchased 2M DVR to replace a dead Lorex system DVR. Installation was easy, though connectors tough to put on. Came with a great instruction manual. Upon booting up the DVR, all the cameras were displayed in black and white. Unhappy at that point, I went to contact the company, but noticed that their support line was Monday – Friday. So, I sent an email, expecting to receive an answer the following Monday. Almost immediately, I received a response telling me the Lorex cameras were not compatible with the 2M DVR. Wasn’t sure what to do at that point, but was offered a good deal on their cameras. Not much later, I received another email asking if I’d like to try an beta update on the firmware — no guarantees that it would fix the problem. Instructions were provided, a .ZIP file provided and downloaded, and an update performed on the new DVR. With follow-on instructions, the DVR is now displaying color. So, though I’m satisfied with the result, I’m more impressed with the almost immediate support received, expecially when they weren’t open and it was late at night. This has to rank as the best customer support I can recall, which is a testimony to this find company, but sorely lacking in most of the techie world. Their products appear well built, fairly priced, and easy to install and operate. That can be said for others. What others can’t match is the outstanding and personal support provided by 2M. Well done, and highly recommended.

I bought the bare bones system which has no hard drive or cameras, because I was upgrading from my Swann DVR, who’s DHCP IP addressing was horrible (it would not maintain an IP connection for more than 24 hours; it would lose DHCP and you would have to reconfigure all over again). This 2M DVR has been holding on for more than a month SOLID, and I am very happy I upgraded!
Like all of these hard wired camera systems, you’re limited by the quality of your own camera. I have 4 Swann ones which are fine, then I added a 5th one by ZOSI which is only 960, and it is awful compared to the other ones lol. Invest in high quality cameras to get the best picture!

A very good investment. Very clear in the daytime and night vision is top of the line. I did not give a review on support helpline that’s because I did not need it very easy to set up in my home computer and phone

The set up was easy. I could get the system to function and identify and pick up my camera feeds fine. But trying to connect to the DVR to monitor the events remotely (which this system is for) through windows software or the app on iphone is next to impossible. The app and software crash a lot. They do not stay up for more than a few seconds. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
Update… The app has been staying up fine now. My guess is the NetNanny Parental Control Software on the PC was messing with the remote connection to the DVR. For some reason after adding the IP of the DVR to the “Allowed lists” the app has stayed up fine. I change my review to “Yes I’ll recommend this product to others”.

I bough this DVR to replace a 16 year EverFocus while it was still working perfect I wanted to be able to see my cameras on my phone or computer, install was a breeze just matter of hooking up cameras and Ethernet cable and power cord and away we went! Setup was pretty straight forward while referring to the instructions, setup for remote viewing on phone, iPad etc was easy took a few mins to get going.
I have had mine setup for few days very pleased with the operation and ease of use my only grip is the black screen or empty box on the monitor for my 8 camera setup, I just wished it would duplicate the first camera to the empty box like my old system did to make it 9 cameras on the screen.
