So I got this system for a great price. Took a hard drive out of an old computer to put in the dvr. The cables were a little short for my setup, but I made it work just to see how the quality was. Everything worked great and I wanted to move the dvr to a better location. I oredered the 100 foot cables. Only thing is now one camera does not work. I thought I shorted it out or something so I went and got a new camera. That one does not work either. Really weird.. No matter what channel I hook these cameras up to they dont work. So I ordered a new power supply. Not sure what the deal is.

So, bought this back in May, and since then only got two camera’s up plus on additional that was a wireless IP camera. I love the system though. For the money you really can’t go wrong, Everything you need comes in the box. Plus it leaves room for add-ons. The Cloud based software works great for live viewing.So, I can go on for ever, but why now for the review? In the last week, it caught a man going up and down the street checking doors on cars and breaking into them, and someone in broad daylight stealing a package. The Police department actually complimented on the video, and with the package, helped to catch the guy. With the cars being broken into it got even better, the guy looked at the camera, and skipped my yard, so dollars well spent.

This is a great system. 1. Package came well packed delivery was quick 2. Set up was very easy 3. 2 of my camera had some vertical lines moving across the screen. Impressive what you get for this price. I installed this in my mother in laws house after she had some problems with a drugged out neighbor coming to her house at 2 am. Installation was a breeze as far as running wires in an attic in the deep south goes. This system is better than my LaView I use in my own home. Good quality images from the cameras. it really has some nice features.

Install was easy, the hardest part was running the wires through the attic. Navigating the menus and getting things set up took a little to get used to, but wasnt to difficult. Motion detection recording isn’t too bad, sometimes it misses the first second or two before it turns on and starts recording. But that could be because my settings are just higher than mid range, or else it records all the bugs at night. Didn’t give it 5 stars because the menus are a little irritating.

I do not give out praise often; in fact, this is my first Product Review in 5+ years. But I absolutely had to share my experiences with 2M Tech Support as their level of assistance and patience and accommodation was nothing short of phenomenal, they were extremely responsive to help me troubleshoot my issue we had a Remote Desktop Sharing session to efficiently find resolution. We lost connection at one point, and Tech Support even CALLED ME to make sure we were still able to proceed. About 30 minutes later, I’m all set and happily keeping their product. As I am sure many of you have experienced poor customer service at some point in your life, you can rest easy that this company cares about their product and customers. If a positive review on their customer service is not enough to convince you to buy….allow me to review their product.
Summary ? Customer Service is Unparalleled. Price is Excellent. Video Quality is Great. Setup is fairly straight-forward.
I spent a decent amount of time reading product descriptions and reviews for Home Video Surveillance and simply could not find anything that matched the price or positive reviews.
The quick setup guide provided was fairly straight-forward. I was able to connect it to my Smartphone without issue, easy. If you are debating between this product and a competitor, give 2M a shot knowing that they will take care of you if you need help.

I purchased this set of 8 cameras for my house after it was broken into. I really like this because I can download an app and view whats going on inside and outside of my house live. The camera is also waterproof so when it rains or snows, it wont effect the camera quality. I also like how during the night time, Im still able to view the outside very clearly, it has night vision. I can check up on my kids when Im not home to be there with them. Its very useful because now I can go to work and feel at ease.

For the price, this system is great. I would suggest spending the extra time setting motion and alerts otherwise this is just a witness instead of potential prevention.
Everyone should expect a potential issue with any complicated device, it is how the customer support team handles it and they did a great job.
The biggest issue anyone should have with this device is the HDD. 3MP cameras can suck up data quickly. If you have all 8 cameras recording at the standard settings 15FPS you should get somewhere between 7-10 days. Either speak with a rep before purchase to see if they can price up for a larger drive, purchase and replace yourself, set up a back up NAS, or except that if something occurs you need to get it on a USB asap.

Have owned it for 3 years bought this than a HD for recording (purple WD i think) only thing that has failed me was the power supply where connecting more than 1 camera would result in no picture, flashing grey, distorted image etc. replaced Power supply and works back how it was when i 1st got it. Can easily view cameras from my phone, havent bothered setting up motion detect or the other features it does what i want easily how i have it set up atm. was thinking about buy wireless cameras but most around this price still require a power cable to each camera. i dont see the point in that since the feed cable for cameras is just as long and small cables.

I received the DVR, 8 camera’s, and the necessary cables and screws all in a well packaged box. I really like both the day, and night vision. I have other cameras and they are crap compared to the 2M cameras. The fact that I can get the DVR to email mail when it sees motion is another plus. I watch it on my PC, but my wife and I also watch the cameras on our phones. Since I purchased the 2M system, I’ve recommended it to my sons, and friends because I’m so pleased with it. Once triggered a notification will be sent directly to your cellphone for viewing. The only minor problem that Ive encountered was the fact it only came with 60ft cabling. I had to buy 100ft cables for a few of my cameras, which does not necessarily take away from how great this surveillance system is.

Follow there instruction, to trouble shoot the problem, the are trying to help you, it could be the camera, the wire or the dvr, a loose connection! It takes time, but they do want to help! I had a few stuff stolen from my garage, so I am hoping the system will deter thieves away or at least catch them in the act. this is a great camera system and easy to install if you a DIY type of person. As the description says, 1080, 8 cameras, waterproof, night vision, DVR, motion detection, and more. this system come with 1TB hard drive for the DVR to work and wiring the cameras. The most difficult part was where I wanted to mount my camera. Once I found a spot, screw the nails into the wall and connect. I have used this system for about 2 week now, and the quality of the picture is great. I have friends who purchased a more expensive system and the quality appears to be about par for a low – mid range systems.

I really like all the features and quality of this system so far. I’ll give some pros and cons I’ve found so far.
Pros:
– Very easy to setup.
– Password and pattern for unlocking.
– It includes a name brand hard drive. I wasn’t sure what to expect here.
– Good HD picture.
– Good night vision.
– Includes a mini laser mouse, which works great.
– More advanced features like masking and hotspots.
– Everything you need to get up and running is included!
– Lots of adjustments can be made to camera views.
– VGA or HDMI for video.
Cons:
– Cameras are plastic. They feel durable, but aluminum would have been nice here.
– No fans. It doesn’t seem to run very hot, but it does get warm.
One thing to note here is the hard drive is shipped in Raw format, so you have to go into the settings and initialize it (formats it).
Overall I’m very pleased with the security system. I certainly recommend it!

Install was easy, the hardest part was running the wires through the attic. Navigating the menus and getting things set up took a little to get used to, but wasnt to difficult. Motion detection recording isn’t too bad, sometimes it misses the first second or two before it turns on and starts recording. But that could be because my settings are just higher than mid range, or else it records all the bugs at night. Didn’t give it 5 stars because the menus are a little irritating.

I do not give out praise often; in fact, this is my first Product Review in 5+ years. But I absolutely had to share my experiences with 2M Tech Support as their level of assistance and patience and accommodation was nothing short of phenomenal, they were extremely responsive to help me troubleshoot my issue we had a Remote Desktop Sharing session to efficiently find resolution. We lost connection at one point, and Tech Support even CALLED ME to make sure we were still able to proceed. About 30 minutes later, I’m all set and happily keeping their product. As I am sure many of you have experienced poor customer service at some point in your life, you can rest easy that this company cares about their product and customers. If a positive review on their customer service is not enough to convince you to buy….allow me to review their product.
Summary ? Customer Service is Unparalleled. Price is Excellent. Video Quality is Great. Setup is fairly straight-forward.
I spent a decent amount of time reading product descriptions and reviews for Home Video Surveillance and simply could not find anything that matched the price or positive reviews.
The quick setup guide provided was fairly straight-forward. I was able to connect it to my Smartphone without issue, easy. If you are debating between this product and a competitor, give 2M a shot knowing that they will take care of you if you need help.

I purchased this set of 8 cameras for my house after it was broken into. I really like this because I can download an app and view whats going on inside and outside of my house live. The camera is also waterproof so when it rains or snows, it wont effect the camera quality. I also like how during the night time, Im still able to view the outside very clearly, it has night vision. I can check up on my kids when Im not home to be there with them. Its very useful because now I can go to work and feel at ease.

For the price, this system is great. I would suggest spending the extra time setting motion and alerts otherwise this is just a witness instead of potential prevention.
Everyone should expect a potential issue with any complicated device, it is how the customer support team handles it and they did a great job.
The biggest issue anyone should have with this device is the HDD. 3MP cameras can suck up data quickly. If you have all 8 cameras recording at the standard settings 15FPS you should get somewhere between 7-10 days. Either speak with a rep before purchase to see if they can price up for a larger drive, purchase and replace yourself, set up a back up NAS, or except that if something occurs you need to get it on a USB asap.

Have owned it for 3 years bought this than a HD for recording (purple WD i think) only thing that has failed me was the power supply where connecting more than 1 camera would result in no picture, flashing grey, distorted image etc. replaced Power supply and works back how it was when i 1st got it. Can easily view cameras from my phone, havent bothered setting up motion detect or the other features it does what i want easily how i have it set up atm. was thinking about buy wireless cameras but most around this price still require a power cable to each camera. i dont see the point in that since the feed cable for cameras is just as long and small cables.

I received the DVR, 8 camera’s, and the necessary cables and screws all in a well packaged box. I really like both the day, and night vision. I have other cameras and they are crap compared to the 2M cameras. The fact that I can get the DVR to email mail when it sees motion is another plus. I watch it on my PC, but my wife and I also watch the cameras on our phones. Since I purchased the 2M system, I’ve recommended it to my sons, and friends because I’m so pleased with it. The package came with complete 8 cameras, DVR unit and BNC cables for installation. The 8 cameras are light weight. and clear. The DVR unit is working well for recording. The DVR can be connected with internet and install the app to watch on cellphone. The whole installation for took about 2 hours. It is pretty easy to install. High quality and worth investment.

Product is as described. Video quality both day as well as night are excellent. The motion sensing feature on this surveillance system is awesome as well. Once triggered a notification will be sent directly to your cellphone for viewing. The only minor problem that Ive encountered was the fact it only came with 60ft cabling. I had to buy 100ft cables for a few of my cameras, which does not necessarily take away from how great this surveillance system is.

It was very easy to setup and there is no delay in getting a live feed on your remote device. The only negative I will give is that you will have to manually change the picture to HD from basic to get the clearest video on your remote device. Otherwise I love this system.

The system works well, good picture night and day. Costumers service is good. You have to understand ,if you have a problem you need to take a picture of what’s going on! Follow there instruction, to trouble shoot the problem, the are trying to help you, it could be the camera, the wire or the dvr, a loose connection! It takes time, but they do want to help! It seems with all the questions they ask there are giving you the run around! They are not!

Ive had two security camera systems. 2M 8 channel wired and Arlo Pro wireless. From my experience, the 2M system is a much better product. 2M offers a lot more in my opinion. Setting everything up was fairly simple also. I like the fact that I can view the cameras on my tv or my phone. The price for 2M is hard to beat also.

I bought this product on November. Havent got a chance to install until yesterday since I bought a house in Staten Island NY. Great price and quality among tons of similar products in 2M. View is fantastic and picture is clear. Even though i live in nice neighborhood, anything could be happen( since the gun policy in the congress. I’m very happy with the quality of the 2M security system, and I feel at peace. I had a few stuff stolen from my garage, so I am hoping the system will deter thieves away or at least catch them in the act. this is a great camera system and easy to install if you a DIY type of person. As the description says, 1080, 8 cameras, waterproof, night vision, DVR, motion detection, and more. this system come with 1TB hard drive for the DVR to work and wiring the cameras. The most difficult part was where I wanted to mount my camera. Once I found a spot, screw the nails into the wall and connect. I have used this system for about 2 week now, and the quality of the picture is great. I have friends who purchased a more expensive system and the quality appears to be about par for a low – mid range systems.

I really like all the features and quality of this system so far. I’ll give some pros and cons I’ve found so far.
Pros:
– Very easy to setup.
– Password and pattern for unlocking.
– It includes a name brand hard drive. I wasn’t sure what to expect here.
– Good HD picture.
– Good night vision.
– Includes a mini laser mouse, which works great.
– More advanced features like masking and hotspots.
– Everything you need to get up and running is included!
– Lots of adjustments can be made to camera views.
– VGA or HDMI for video.
Cons:
– Cameras are plastic. They feel durable, but aluminum would have been nice here.
– No fans. It doesn’t seem to run very hot, but it does get warm.
One thing to note here is the hard drive is shipped in Raw format, so you have to go into the settings and initialize it (formats it).
Overall I’m very pleased with the security system. I certainly recommend it!

I am down to three working camera inputs. The cameras work but the inputs on the receiver do not. I can swap them around but only three show an image. Updating my review. I started replacing the wires and I think I had a bad wire that was shorting out all the cameras on the same power source. It was a a pain to find but seems to have solved my problems.
