Samsung SCZ-3430 is a high resolution camera that produces 600 TV Lines and requires a minimum illumination of 0.7 Lux at F1.65 for color. It has a varifocal lens of 3.2 - 138.5mm to give a 43x optical and 16x digital zoom. It has a multilingual On-Screen Display with display upto 54 characters. It has an internal and line lock synchronisation. The zoom movement speed is 3.2sec (Wide to tele).

The scanning system of Samsung SCZ-3430 is 1/4" Ex-view HAD CCD (Double scan) with 2:1 interlace system. Samsung SCZ-3430 has Back Light Compensation, Gain Control and Wide Dynamic Range. It has 12 programmable zones for privacy polygonal masking and off/tracking/ detection option for motion detection. It also has an alarm option of configuration 1 Out. Both vertical and horizontal flip are there in individuality and in combination. The S/N ratio is more than 52dB when AGC is off.
