The Veilux SVEX-T100 incorporates solid stainless steel construction offering dust and waterproof protection for this rugged explosion proof camera housing. When we are talking about being explosion proof, it is important to remember this does not mean the housing was designed to withstand an explosion necessarily. So, you cannot strap a bomb to the housing and expect it to survive a blast. It might though… Explosion proof actually means that the housing is completely sealed and will not cause an explosion when used in combustible environments such as surveillance at a chemical plant.
Along with the stainless steel construction, the SVEX-T100 has a tempered glass viewing window with a thickness of 10mm for additional protection for the security camera inside. All of the parts add up to a housing which has been tested and rated with an IP-68 rating. An optional heater can be added to the housing to help maintain an ideal operating temperature in the harshest of environments.
This product meets my expectations. I owned 2 Trendnet cameras prior to this which I paid $35 more but connection, the image quality and the set up is so poor compared to 2M. This product was recommended for me by a friend, now, I have been recommending it with my friends too. Prior to this, I ordered 2 Amcrest cameras which I returned due to set-up issues. I was up and running 10 minutes with 2Mand so far no issues at all. I can be inside a building somewhere out of state and I still can access the cameras with no issues. Get a couple, I highly recommend this product. There are plenty of videos in youtube to check out this set-up, so easy.
